Wild One- First Birthday themed Party!
Invitation handmade by my sister! |
This was a picture of the cake smash (on his actual birthday* not on the day of the party). |
Today was a blast. Though it was difficult having a small gathering for such a big occasion, we still made the most of it. In a way, having a small gathering was more intimate and everyone got a dose of the birthday boy. The theme that we gave Christopher was Wild One. Most of the decorations that I used were handmade and I also ordered the greenery from Amazon. I will link later on DIY decorations. I spent under $100 on all of the decor which I did not think was bad at all.
I will link how to make this balloon garland. FYI this was something that took me the longest to make. I suggest making this the day before. If you blow up the balloons, they will last for 4 days. after that, they start to deflate.
Centerpieces:
- Mason Jars
-
Animals were added to the table and those were the favors. I got the animals at the dollar store.
Let the world hear you roar!
-outdoor seating
BORN TO BE WILD SIGN- printed out letters that I made in a word document. Then I cut them out. Hole punched the letters on the top and strung twine through the holes. Then I taped it onto the wall and TAAADAHH.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BALLOONS- Bought this for $10 at party city.
TRIANGLE GARLAND- Construction paper was cut into triangles and then as I did with the letters.. hole punch and then strung with ribbon.
TABLE CLOTH- Dollar Store
DESSERTS SIGN- $5 at the craft store and painted 'Desserts' with white paint.
